HP laptop hangs and freezes

My HP laptop was never this slow before but now, whenever I open Microsoft Office files like documents and spreadsheets, my laptop just freezes or hangs. Restart button is not responding so I don’t have a choice but to remove the battery. How can I fix this?

HP laptop hangs and freezes

         You said whenever you open Microsoft Office files your pc hangs, so for you to solve this one, try to uninstall Microsoft Office and then try to install it again. But before you install that, scan first your computer by using antivirus software. We know that virus can make computer run slow, so better to scan. After scan install now the Microsoft office but make sure that the installer is not corrupted. But if you encounter still the error, you may need to re-install your computer’s operating system. Maybe the problem is on your computer operating system. For restarting your computer, you don’t need to remove the battery, just press the power button for about 5 to 10 seconds and it will shutdown.
