How will updating BIOS affect my computer?

Hi guys,

I  have a very simple question to ask that if I update my PC BIOS will that affect my computer in any way. I have windows 7 PC and I want to update BIOS from A07 to A14. But I don't know that will windows be affected by it or not please tell me the answer and if it gets affected than in what way I may see any changes in windows 7?

How will updating BIOS affect my computer?

Hello,

BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is the main software that operates the whole machine perfectly. BIOS firmware is upgradable which updates the program to a better situation.

Upgrading BIOS isn’t recommended unless you’ve got some issue with your system that will be solved with the latest BIOS system.

There are many advantages of upgrading BIOS but don’t do it unless your PC is facing any problem. If you’ve problems with booting your Acer machine, or having other issue, or require extra features, you’re free to upgrade your BIOS. Just make sure that you’ve backed up your important information out from your PC.

Your operating system won’t be affected at all, just the BIOS will be upgraded. All the hardware information, boot information will be transferred to new BIOS and boot your OS perfectly. If any new features will be available, your Windows 7 will integrate itself to it automatically. It’s a quite smart operating system, so nothing to worry.
