How to view spinner gif with transparent background on pc?

I made this spinner GIF on photoshop and saved it on my drive. I tried to click it so that I can view how if the animation was ok. My PC views it through Picasa and it doesn't work in there. I will be very thankful for any help.

Hi Devon,

I have a question to ask: did you also put a flash effect on the spinner GIF image that you made? If you created the image out of Photoshop and did not incorporate Flash into it, chances are it will not work an animated background picture. To create an animated GIF using flash, here is what you can do:

1. Open Adobe Flash Player and import your spinner GIF image.
2. Go to PUBLISH SETTINGS then select the GIF tab and set the following properties:
   1. Animated
   2. Match movie
   3. Optimize
   4. Interlace
   5. Smooth
   6. Opaque (make it transparent if you prefer that)
   7. Adaptive
3. Click OK then hold SHIFT+F12 to publish your work. You should be able to see your spinner GIF animated.

Another way of making your animated GIF your desktop background is to use a software called Bionix Desktop Wallpaper Changer. This software is free and compatible with Windows Vista and 7. Go to http://www.bionixwallpaper.com/index.html to get this application now.

Hello Devon

You can make an animation through photoshop by the following ways:

– Make sure that you are using the photoshop CS3, 4 or 5 extended.

– Put the frame of the animation on a different layer to create a doc : file>import>video frames to layers.

– Select the particular layer.

– Open the animation window : window>animation.

– Do change to frame animation : Flyout>convert to frame animation.

– Modify the frame as you wish.

– For displaying the time menu, just click on the arrowhead under each frame.

– For saving : file>save for web and devices.

How to view spinner gif with transparent background on pc?

Hello Devon,

As I understand I think your problem is viewing the GIF animation. You can’t view it by click on it. Then it will open in some other image viewer program. You have to run it from a web browser. Then you can see the animation. What you need to do is go to the location of your file and right click on the GIF file and select open with and choose your web browser.
