Hi Samantha S.

I teach to you how to fix this problem just follow my instruction.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Press the "Start" button on the taskbar.

2. Click "Run" if you are using Windows XP or earlier. Windows Vista and later users will need to place the cursor in the Search bar at the bottom of the menu.

3. Enter the text "cmd" in the text box and press "Enter."

4.Type "ipconfig /renew" to reset your network adapter. This will re-establish a connection to the default gateway.

5. Verify your connection to the gateway by entering the command "ipconfig /all". If there is a connection, there will be an Internet Protocol address specified on the output next to the "Default Gateway" label.

If Do you have Service pack installed for Windows Vista?

I would suggest you to use the below provided by an expert bymethods and check:

The regedit program in Microsoft Windows is used to open the Windows registry using the command prompt. Though it can easily be accessed in Microsoft Windows, it shouldn’t be used without proper knowledge because any incorrect data added to the registry can cause problems to the system. Also, you shouldn’t delete any entry in the Windows registry because it can corrupt a program.

If you encounter problems with your applications, make sure they are compatible with your system and that any Windows component required has been installed. I also have lots of applications in my computer but none of them caused conflict. Before you install a program, check if the program is compatible with your operating system. Next, check the program for any additional requirements that needs to be installed.

For example, if the program requires Microsoft .NET Framework, you need to install it first before installing the application. If you really need to fix some errors on your computer, try installing PC Tools Performance Toolkit.
