How to troubleshoot in Wifi Internet connection?

This is great. I only did the update to fix the SD card on my computer, but now my Wi-Fi isn't connecting.

It shows no internet connection. I already check the settings, and there's a message error showing under Wi-Fi.

Even my network is not showing at all. I have other laptop that I'm using, so I know it’s working. Any ideas?

I've rebooted again and still nothing happens.

Have you checked your Network setup. There is a WiFi Connection Tutorial that you could check out on About.com. It explains how basically to set up your WiFi. Before you get started you will need 1. A wireless network adapter for your laptop or built-in wireless. If you do not have one you can buy a usb wireless. then you need a firewall installed and the latest antivirus updates and operating system patches. if network is secured with a password or administrators have hidden the network from SSID.

Hello Jerry,

What update did you install? Was it a Windows update, Antivirus, etc.?  It would also be very helpful if you can include the specifications of your laptop.

If it was a Microsoft Windows update, it may have updated the driver for your wireless network adapter. In that case, you can download an updated driver of your wireless network adapter from the manufacturer’s site through one of your other laptops and just save it in an usb flash drive. Then install the new driver to your laptop (just make sure that you uninstall the current driver before installing the new one to avoid system conflicts).

It is also possible that the update might have just disabled or turned your wireless network adapter off, so check that too.

Hope this helps.
