I was trying to play a movie in Windows Media Player when it stopped suddenly with the windows media player server execution failed error. Now, every time I try to open the player, it shows the same error. How can I fix this fault?

Perform these methods on the player and try again

Method 1:

First, check the Windows Media Player after you restart your computer.If your problem is still not solved after restart operation, then try Method 2.

Method 2:

1: Click on start and then type “services.msc”.
2: Press Enter.
3: Then, look for “Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service”.
4: You will observe that its status is “started” and its start type is “Automatic”. Now, Right click on it and select “Properties”.
Step 5: Now under the General menu, change its startup type to “Disabled” and also change its service status to “Stop”. After modifying these settings, press “OK” and restart your computer again. Now, open Windows Media Player, the problem will not appear now.
