How to solve skype installation error 1603?

I am getting started with skype, and while I was trying to call a friend of mine, it prompted skype installation error 1603.

How to solve this error? I am using windows 10. Thanks in advance.

I faced the same skype installation error 1603. It was quite easy to solve. You need to uninstall and install skype again. Follow the steps below –

1 – Press Windows (key) + R. It opens the Run dialogue box.

2. Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter. The following screen appears –

3 – Find Skype.

4 – Right Click on it.

5 – Click on uninstall.

6 – Open https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/ to download skype and install it.
