The full error reads “An Outlook Address Book entry cannot be used as an e-mail address in a contact”. This problem happens if you have the same email address in the “Suggested Contacts” folder. The contents of the “Suggested Contacts” folder are populated automatically.
Every time you add an email address to the “To” or “CC” fields when composing an email message, Microsoft Office Outlook adds these email addresses to the “Suggested Contacts” folder. This works very similar to a web browser’s password manager that automatically fills in the login credentials on the login form.
When you send an email message to the same email address, the suggested contacts automatically fills in the “To” and “CC” text fields. Now to fix the problem, you simply need to delete the email address from the “Suggested Contacts” folder. To view your suggested contacts, go to “Contacts” or press CTRL + 3 on your keyboard.
