I love using Skype for Windows. I want to know in which program file are the emoticons of Skype stored. I am not able to see them directly. Where are Skype emoticons stored?
The Skype emoticons are not directly visible. Since they are part of the Skype software itself, they are embedded in the software. You cannot see them because they are not stored in a particular directory of Skype. However, there is a way which will let you extract these icons. Follow the instructions.
You can easily add emoticons to your Skype message by selecting it from the palette in the IM window or the smiley in the chat window. You can also use the keyboard shortcut if you know the combination. The keyboard shortcut is a set of characters or sometimes a word in brackets. You can check the shortcut by hovering your mouse over an emoticon in the palette.
All visible emoticons are available in the palette in the IM window. Aside from the emoticons you see in the palette, Skype also includes some hidden emoticons that are ready to be discovered. Here are some of them.
