Hi, I have been using windows media player in 64-bit since few years, but it has been receiving some error issues. How to fix these error without harming my system.
Well, windows media player 64-bit is the most compatible media player available in all the versions for all the windows versions too. It does not encounter any kind of error but it does due to some malware issues or viruses. To fix the error occurring in windows media player you need to follow some of the enlisted steps-
i.) uninstall the existing windows media player in your system.
ii.) Put your system to a whole malware scan and virus scan.
iii.) Now reboot your computer after scanning.
iv.) Avoid downloading the windows media player from any different sites because it can get your file corrupted, instead download it from Microsoft download center for windows.
v.) You need not uninstall VLC media player as it does not have any link with windows media player.
If you want to play a media file on your Windows Media Player but you receive different sorts of errors, just try updating it. Since Windows Media Player is part of the Windows operating system, there’s no way to literally uninstall and reinstall it. You can disable it from the operating system but that’s how far it can go.
Since you did not mention what error it is you are receiving, try updating the program and hope it gets fixed. To update Windows Media Player, start Windows Media Player then right-click on top of the window then point to “Help” and then select “Check for Updates.”
Before doing this, make sure your computer is connected to the internet. If an update is available, install it and see if it works.
