I am unable to send emails from Outlook. I am getting a 554 error in Outlook. My SMTP details are alright, but I am unable to find a solution. Please help me.

I can provide you a few methods to fix the 554 error in Outlook.

Method 1

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Open the File menu.
  3. Go to Account Settings.
  1. Double click on your account.

 

  1. Click on More Settings.

 

  1. Select the check box as shown above.
  2. GO to the advanced tab.
  3. Set Outgoing server (SMPT) Port to 465.
  4. Set encryption type to SSL.
  5. Click Ok.
  1. Click on Test Account Settings.
  2. Once the test is successful, you will not face any error.
  3. Go to Method 2 if the test fails.

Method 2

  1. Follow the same steps, as Method 1.
  2. When you go to the advanced tab, make the following changes.
  3. Set Outgoing server (SMPT) Port to 587.
  4. Set encryption type to TLS or STARTTLS.
  5. Run the Test again.
  6. Your error will disappear.
