I am pursuing a YouTube video lecture series currently. The problem is as I live in a hilly area, the network connectivity is abrupt. Is it possible to download the whole series at once? If yes, then what are the steps?
Yes, it is possible to download videos from YouTube. It ensures a buffering free experience. Here are the steps:
1) Install ClibGrab from Google Chrome.
2) In another tab open the YouTube video you want to download.
3) Copy its link.
4) Insert the video link in ClipGrab.
5) Select download format and quality.
6) Click on Grab this Clip button.
ClipGrab is free software that lets you download any video and save it on your device. It gives options like MPEG4, WMV(Windows), MP3(audio only), etc. for formats.
If you want to watch a series of videos on YouTube but you can’t stream an entire video because of connection problem, you can watch the video offline on your computer by downloading the video. You can do this with Firefox and I do it myself often whenever I like a video and I want it on my computer to watch later.
First, download the latest Mozilla Firefox. The default download button downloads the web installer. If you want to download the offline installer instead of the web installer, click the “Advanced install options & other platforms” link. On the next screen, download the version you want and install it.
Once installed, start Firefox then go to Flash Video Downloader and click the “Add to Firefox” button to install the add-on on your browser. Once the extension is installed, go to YouTube and search the video you want to watch. Once the video loads, see if there is the “Download” button beside the thumbs up icon. Click it then select the size you want to start downloading.
Note: this extension may not work on some videos because of copyright policy that’s why sometimes you won’t see the “Download” button. In this case, just search for another video or install a different plug-in.
