How To Configure FTP In Windows 7 On My Computer?

To configure and connect to the FTP service on your computer you must have the Internet Information Services (IIS) installed on your computer. You must also have Windows Server 2008 installed on your device.

Installation with Windows Server 2008 R2

1. In server manager click on ‘Add Roles.’
2. Find the Web Server (IIS)
3. Select the FTP service and click on ‘Next.’
4. Now proceed to install.

Installation with Windows 7

1. Repeat the same procedure but from the Control Panel instead of Server Manager.
