Hello, I am planning to set up a router as the problem is;we are a joint family but have only one Wi-Fi connection. So, the signal gets weak on upper floors and thus, not letting us to get the proper signal. So, how to configure Cisco Linksys router?

Steps to set your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router to Bridge Mode are as follows:

  • Connect your computer to any numbered port on router using an Ethernet cable.
  • Plug the router to an electrical outlet using a power adapter.
  • Open the Internet Explorer and enter your router’s IP Address.
  • Type your router’s log-in details and click on OK.
  • In the setup page, under the Internet Setup, set the connection type to Bridge Mode.
  • Choose Specify an IP address in the router address field and enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.
  • Lastly, connect the main router to the Internet Port to finish the setup.
