If you want to send a single email message to multiple recipients or multiple email addresses, you need to create a mailing list. A mailing list is a list of email addresses which allows you to send a single email message to all the email addresses on the list. It is normally used for promotion or product advertisement.
There are applications designed for mass email sending but you can also do it on your own using an email client. Here’s an example using Mozilla Thunderbird. In Mozilla Thunderbird, click “Address Book”.
In the “Address Book” window, click “New List” then enter the details on the “Mailing List” dialog and then click “OK”. You can already add email addresses to the list or do it later.
Once the list is created, go to your contacts then drag the email addresses you want to include on the mailing list to your newly created list. Once your mailing list is populated, time to send a mass email. On the “Address Book” window, click on your list to select then click “Write”. Compose your message and then send it. And that’s it.
