How to resolve cab 5 oblivion error

I am a game player and always try new games in my computer. I am facing cab 5 oblivion errors during the installation of the game. I don’t know what is cab 5 oblivion error is and what the reasons behind cab 5 oblivion error. It shows the following message

Feature:  Oblivion
Component:       Oblivion
File:                   E:data5.cab
Error                  Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Is this software or hardware issue. Please tell me the cab5 oblivion error and how to resolve it.

How to resolve cab 5 oblivion error

Hi,

The error message is occurred due to Windows system data file damage. Corrupt system files are often a serious danger to the health and well-being of any laptop or desktop.

There are two types of techniques to restore Oblivion Data Cab Downloads error message:

Advanced technique:

1)   Start the system and sign on as an admin.

2)   Click on the Get started button then click All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, then select Restore.

3)   Inside the new window, select “Restore my computer to a prior period” and then click Next.

4)   Pick the most recent system restore point from the “select a restoration date” listing, then click Next.

5)   Click ‘Next’ on the verification screen.

6)   Reboot your computer after the rescue is done.

Inexperienced User Fix (totally automated):

1)   Download and open the (Oblivion Data Cab Downloads) restoration application.

How to resolve cab 5 oblivion error

Hello,

According to me a Cyclic Redundancy error generally is caused by damaged or scratched installation disk. Also could result from the misalignment of the DVD drive.

Observe closely the installation disk for any scratches if they are not too dominant try cleaning the disk and re-install the files. If the disk is in bad condition then I would suggest that you need to get the disk resurfaced which you can try at any movie rental store.

There are also possibilities that the DVD drive is unable to process the disk. Try other CD’s and if they do not work fine the problem is with the DVD drive.

I would suggest that you make an image using ‘Blindwrite’ or similar application and then mount it using Daemon tools. If the image doesn’t work than this is surely the fault of DVD drive.
