A lot of pop ups appear on my screen while I am browsing. These pop ups are usually from the site www.wystreak.com. How can I make sure these doesnt appear? Is there any way to block them. I have installed McAfee Security system on my PC.
One way to remove popups from appearing while browsing is a program called NoScript.This particular program is only available for the Firefox browser, but there are similar extensions available for Safari and Chrome.  NoScript prevents javascript-based scripts from running on webpages. It will prevent all advertisements and popups. If you are on a trusted site, you can allow scripts on those sites to run.Â
If you use Internet Explorer, you can achieve the same functionality as NoScript by adjusting your browsing settings. This feature is called 'XSS' for Cross-site scripting. Ensure that you have this enabled by:Â
Open IE.Â
Open your Tools menu
Open 'Internet Options'
Open 'Security'
Look for the Internet icon (it's a picture of Earth)
Scroll down to select 'Custom Level'
Ensure that XSS is enabled.Â
