How to remove DELL security shield?

I have just purchased this Dell PC for 2 weeks now. This comes with a dell security shield. However, I decided to change this with a better one AV and Internet Security that I purchased.

I just want to ask how to completely remove Dell security shield. I removed it using the Control Panel but there are still components left and this affects my subsequent installation. Please I need your opinions.

How to remove DELL security shield?

1. Turn your computer on and wait for the desktop to load up. Click the Start button and go to Control Panel.

2. You will see an option Uninstall a program under Programs. Click on it to allow the Programs and Features window to open.

3. Select the program or application you wish to install. This time you are to select Dell Security Shield. Uninstall.

4. Click Remove.

5. Follow the wizard step by step instructions carefully.

How to remove DELL security shield?

Hi William,

I never imagined that this software is remarkably hooey. It’s been rumored that this is a fake program and it’s also capable of putting viruses in your computer instead of protecting it. I’m glad that you decided to get rid of it. There are a couple of methods that you can try but the most effective one is to restore your computer to a restore point when this program was never installed. This is how you do it.

1. Restart your computer to safe-mode with networking. (Press F8 during the boot process).
2. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

You will find restore points from this page. Just read the on-screen instructions and you will be fine.

If the method above won’t work then you may want to check this site for another method.
