How to recover USB Drive?

I have a 4 GB USB Drive, in which it has been infected by a virus.  After removing the virus (recycler folder) I tried to format the USB Drive but an error message appears telling that the drive is not recognized. Although in the windows explorer the USB Drive is appearing but when you explore the USB Drive, it has still files in it.

How can I recover the USB Drive?

How to recover USB Drive?

What you have to do is, force formatting your USB drive.

You can try one or all of these:

• Open Windows Run dialog by  pressing Windows key plus "r".  Type in "cmd" (without the quotes) to open a DOS prompt.  At the DOS prompt window, type in:  format <USB drive letter>: /FS:<file system type> /x.  Where <USB drive letter> is the drive letter of your USB drive.  You have to make sure you specify the right drive letter or you could wipe out your hard drive data! The <file system type> is the file system that you want such as "FAT32" or "NTFS".  The "/x" forces the format even if the drive is in use.
• From Control Panel , click on "Administrative Tools", select  Computer Management -> Disk Management.   Look for your USB drive.  Delete the partition and create a new partition then format.
• Get Live CD of Ubuntu, Linuxmint, Fedora or any other Linux distro.  Use the disk format function of Linux to format your USB drive.

How to recover USB Drive?

Hello,

To recover the file in the USB, you must install the USB drive recovery Software on the computer and try to run it because it can resolve or recover the deleted file and re-format the lost erased audio video clip files from the logically stopped USB storage device.

Make sure you always check or scan your USB properly, to avoid any errors or worms that can affect your USB drive and if it does not work at all , maybe your portable USB is corrupted and or maybe the BIOS of your computer is not merged.  Simply restart your computer and go to the setup of  BIOS ; look for the USB device and then simply enable the device then save and restart  again your computer.
