I have windows XP installed and months ago I used software to shred some files, now I was wondering if it is possible to recover software shred deleted files? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

You just have to make sure that the spaces occupied by your previous files have not been overwritten by any new file yet because Recuva and any other tools will find it hard to recover files in that situation.
