Hi. To learn how to recover data from crashed hard disk, first, try plugging it into another device as a secondary drive. However, if this is done then, it also needs to be ensured that the device is detected by the computer in the BIOS or else the drive will not be able to be accessed. You can also copy all the data to another disk because there is a chance of the operating system being corrupt and not just the drive.

Alternatively, data recovery software can be downloaded, installed and opened. Put the hard drive on a scan and then wait until the process completes. After the scanning gets over, you will be able to look for files which you were not being to access earlier and select the ones which are to be restored and click on next. Then, save that particular file and enter the location where it needs to be saved and where it can easily be accessed by you.
