You might be referring to AirPrint Activator which is now called handyPrint. The application was renamed to its latest title with the release of version 3.1.1. Although the name and icon are different now, AirPrint Activator and handyPrint are pretty much the same application.

After installing AirPrint Activator, make sure that all your Apple devices are connected to the same network. Verify that the chosen printer sharing is enabled by going to Preferences > Print & Scan, and ticking "Share this printer on the network". Turn on AirPrint Activator and it should detect your printer automatically. You can now print from any apple devices on your network.Â

Take note, in some cases, AirPrint Activator does not work perfectly. Some people say the AirPrint is not without flaw, but it should be functional. I've read that someone was only able to print with AirPrint on his printer's secondary tray. Nevertheless, the application is good find.
