How to populate the MAC address table on a 2900 switch

Can anyone explain the steps how to find MAC address table on a 2900 cisco switch.

Hi Mary,

Kindly follow the below mentioned steps in order to see the MAC address table in your Cisco 2900 switch.

1.Please open the switch command line interface.

2.Switch to the privileged mode on the interface.

3.Switch to the configuration mode.

4.Enter the interface configuration mode.

5.Type mac-address-table permanent 0444.4200.4200 e0/5 to configure static entries.

6.Type exit to exit the configuration mode.

7.Now type show mac-address-table in order to view the configuration of the MAC address.
