How to open Office 2007 files in Office 2003?

I have created a Word file in MS Office 2007, I moved that file into another computer where Office 2003 was installed. When I try to open the file, it says invalid file. How can I open this file in Office 2003 if it is created in office 2007?

How to open Office 2007 files in Office 2003?

Hello Nadeem.

How are you? As you see that there is a problem while opening a file of MS Word 2007 to MS Word 2003 but you can never face a problem in opening a file of MS Word 2003 in MS Word 2007. So the old format can never be open in new format. As you know Microsoft Office Word 2007 is in the format of .docx and Microsoft Office Word 2003, is in the format of .docm.

To convert the file from .docx format to .docm you have to install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack file format and make sure that your MS Office is fully updated. When you use the Compatibility Pack for the system of 2007 Office,  you can easily edit, open and do some other stuff, and save the file of Office Word 2007  in the format of old versions of Office.

After editing when you save the file it will ask you the format and it will look like this.

How to open Office 2007 files in Office 2003?

Yes,

This is the only way to open Office 2007 projects in Office 2003. Not only Word but also the programmes like PowerPoint uses the same way. JUst save it as a 97-2003 project. But you can hardly change them.

How to open Office 2007 files in Office 2003?

I'm informed that you had created a Word file in MS Office 2007, you had moved that file into another computer where office 2003. But you didn't mention how you had been moved or transferred your file into Office 2003 from MS Office 2007. Later you had wanted to open these files in Office 2003. There are contradictions between two software.

The two software has difference in four years. Ultimately you understood that two software options don't work one into another. You had found invalidity of your file. You have a way that you could able to copy your files from MS Office 2007 into your 4GB pen drive and carry your files certainly.

Open your Office 2003 document page then open a new file and fix your pen drive into your CPU USB port and save your copied files into your Office 2003 software.
