Hi. To learn how to monitor network activity, first download the Wireshark program from its website wireshark.org. After the download is done, double-click on the file and then install the software by following the instructions which appear on the screen along with WinPcap which captures network packets. After this, open Wireshark, click on capture and then select the interfaces option. You will be able to see packets once you start using the network traffic. Then, click on start to record the traffic. If the monitoring needs to be stopped, then, click on the capture menu and then click on stop.
When you start getting the packets, examine each one of them. Towards the end, analyze the packets to ensure that there are no suspicious or unwanted packets being sent over the network.
