How to manage port on computer?

Hello Experts,

How to manage port on computer? How will I manage some ports on my computer just like adding and removing some ports? For additional information my current operating system is windows 7 64 bit, can you give me a step by step process on how to manage the ports?

How to manage port on computer?

 

For managing windows ports in Win7 64 bit go to control panel. Click on category view. In category view click on Firewall Settings. In fire wall settings go to Advanced Settings. In advanced settings open “Inbound Rules” or “Outbound Rules” to add or remove ports by double clicking it. Then click on “Protocols and Ports” tab to change port settings.
