How to insert a shortcut on the toolbar for document protection

Hi,

I want to insert a button on the toolbar which I can use for applying my own customized style. I have also created a keyboard short cut for the same. My only aim is to protect a part of a document, and though I have searched for the same in help, I have not found any solution.

I tried ticking the checkbox but for this the lock form in the ‘Developer’ tab and protecting document and editing restrictions check to the ‘fill in form’  resulted into locking of the whole document and the free format field was just unusable.

If anybody knows the solution to this,

Please help.

Thanks

How to insert a shortcut on the toolbar for document protection

Hi Kim Samore,

If you want to insert a button on a toolbar you have to begin with customize.

Look at the illustration below:

Then using the toolbar tab select the ADD button to increase a toolbar.

Now you're ready to add or delete a button toolbar,

first:          Select the VIEW then Toolbars, go to CUSTOMIZE  and select or from
Second:   Select tools then go to customize, then select or from
third:         To customize you have to right click on the tool bar area

Then you can add a button on your tool bar by choosing one of the selections under the customize then you have to let the button move to the tool bar if you want to view it.  You have to click on the button in the customize area.
If you want to remove a button, you have to pull it off  the  tool bar to remove it.

Hope this might help you.

Thanks.
