Anyone can help me please. I want to write Urdu in MS word. I have inpage for Urdu typing and I want to type direct Urdu in MS word. I have to type my school examination papers. Please help me. Thanks.
Do the following steps:
Step 1. Open control panel
Step 2. Select regional and languages
Step 3. Click on Language tab
Step 4. Select Install Files for East Asian Languages
Step 5. Restart Computer
Step 6. After restart open again Regional and Languages
Step 7. Click on Language Tab
Step 8. Add Keyboard in Language section select Urdu
Step 9. Click ok
After that you can type Urdu not only in MS Word even Excel, PowerPoint and any other software.

Yes you can type and use Urdu in MS word but in that case you will have limited features as compared to that of English. It is supported in Microsoft office version 2003 or above. Else you have to download language patch and have to place it in “Fonts” folder where MS office is installed and still not sure it will work efficiently. Well for version 2003 or above do the following. Go to “Start Menu”. Click “Programs”. Go to “Microsoft Office”. Then click “Microsoft Office Tools”. Select “Microsoft Office 2003 (whichever the version you are using) Language Settings”. Add the Language “Urdu” or any other too if you want from left selection to right selection box. Click ok.
