In Windows, if you want to have a user account with administrative privileges, you need an administrator for this. You need to ask the network administrator or a user on the computer that has administrative privileges that will make changes to your account. To change the assigned permissions to your account, the local administrator needs to change your account type from “Standard user” to “Administrator.”

There are only two account types available in Windows: Standard user and Administrator. The “Standard” account or “Standard user” account is the basic account assigned to normal workstation users. This account type doesn’t have the ability to install applications and change system settings that can affect other users or the security of the computer.

“Administrator” accounts have complete access to the computer and can make any desired changes. They will be prompted for their password before making changes that affect other users depending on the notification settings.
