HI

Once I tried to take a backup of a PC with fedora 17 to my friend's external hard drive. It was a 500GB Seagate HDD. Since I am a newbie to Linux I have used a command that I found online. However the backup process got interrupted halfway. After that I can't use it in windows and the drive doesn't even showing in my computer. Please somebody tell me how to fix it?

Doesn't have enough knowledge about running commands in Linux Platform, though can help you in making the external hard drive working again.

Open Device Manager from Control Panel. You can also directly click on 'My Computer' icon and choose to manage or see its properties. If the drive is in a healthy state and can operate well, It has to be listed in devices manager's devices list. Just assigned it a different drive letter name, not previously occupied with any other drives.

Hope it helps and good luck in advance!!
