 How do you encrypt a small network to ensure that people do not intrude and access important and confidential materials? Are there good off-the shelf packages that I can buy to carry out this encryption process? Can I design the system myself or I would need the services of an expert to do this? How can I check from time-to-time that this system is functioning normally?

How to Encrypt Your Network for Secure Internet Transactions

Security can be ensured in your network by following the below steps:

** Turn off the broadcast SSID because most of the people use network name as SSID which may lead to have less security level.
** Use encryption scheme to your access points.

** Change the admin default password and disable the feature of access from the outside world.

** When you have to update web content, don’t  use FTP.

** Use virtual private network if your internet service provider has such option.

** Avoid file sharing, print sharing on your network.

** Protect your network from virus by keeping up to date your network.

** Maintain individual user accounts and also control physical access to the computer systems on your network.
