How to eliminate Mac OSx bad disk sector problems?

This past few days, my applications crashes most of the time. Most specifically the iPhoto application. How can I get rid of the bad disk sector on Mac? And how can I stop it from happening again? How can I fix it?

How to eliminate Mac OSx bad disk sector problems?

Hi Rochelle,

Bad hard drive sector and data loss/corrupted files are cause mainly if not mostly by irregular use of your computer.

 

One of these is shutting down your computer improperly and some are cause by outages. To prevent your applications to crash in the future, try to practice and maintain the proper way of taking care of your computer.

 

And as for elimination of bad sector from you hard drive.
