I found a few music tracks in mp3 format which quite artistic to listen and some needed to be for my other uses. But when I try to edit them on my Windows PC, it says that they are locked. So someone please help me to get rid of this. Thank you.

Please follow the below instructions to change the security properties of the MP3 file, so you can edit it.

1. Log into your administrator account from your PC.

2. Click on windows start button and go to the folder containing MP3 file.

3. Right click on the MP3 file that you want to unlock and go to "properties" and select the "security" option.

4. Click on "edit" button located under "owner".

5. Then "change owner to" to your username in it.

6. Click on "ok" to all popup s that will appear after renaming the owner.

7. Now you do have the permission to edit those MP3 files.

hi Kazunsanjaya,

some unlock software are available on net you can search unlock software on internet. but the other easiest way is bun the songs onto a cd using iTunes then re import them into tunes from the CD

to get them onto a CD then follow these steps.

make playlist of songs

button in the bottom right hand corner BURN CD click on it and insert blank CD into your burner.
