Hi,

You can always download the latest version of the sound driver for your computer free of cost. It is very simple to update the driver for your sound card. You just need to go to device manager, then go to Sound, video and game controllers, right click it and click on update driver.

The latest version is more efficient than the previous version. It is lighter and compact. When downloading the driver, please make sure that you are downloading a genuine application.

Hi Dibri,

I’m sure that your PC has an installation disc by the time you bought it, which I believe is an ECS motherboard under Intel. That disc contains the installation package for your Motherboard including your sound driver. However, if you want to update your sound driver, you can always update it by visiting the ECS website and selecting the options that best describe your PC for you to download the compatible driver. Note that the version you mentioned (V1.0A) refers to the entire installation package not just for your sound. Under this package is the updated sound driver that was released last September 2009 and supports WINDOWS XP, Vista and 7. The version is known as version 115. Hope this helps you.
