How does PS5 batch convert images PNG to JPEG?

Hello.  I have a lot of PNG images that I would like to convert to JPEG files using Photoshop 5.  Is there a way for PS5 batch convert images PNG to JPEG?  I'm on a Windows 7 64 bit system.  Thanks in advance.

How does PS5 batch convert images PNG to JPEG?

Hello Emileekeila,

Follow these steps to convert PNG image to JPEG format using Photoshop 5 :-

• Open the source file (PNG image) in Photoshop.
• Go to -> Window
• Click -> Actions
• Click -> Create New Action (give any name you want)
• Go to -> File -> Save for Web.
• Choose your required preset (JPEG in this case)
• Save the file.
• Done

An alternate method to convert PNF image to JPEG using Pint is :-

• Open the image (PNF file) in Paint
• Click -> Save As
• Choose -> JPEG
• A dialog box will open, give any name you want and choose the location where you want to save JPEG file.
• Click -> Save
• Done.

How does PS5 batch convert images PNG to JPEG?

Greetings,

 

There are two ways you can do this, with Image Processor, or Batch command. Multiple files can be converted and processed using the Image Processor. In the Batch command, files are processed first without creating an action. To do this with Image Processor:

 

1. Click File, click Scripts then Image processor.

2. Choose open files or a folder of files to process.

3. Optionally, you can choose "Open First Image To Apply Settings" to all selected images.

4. Choose the location where the processed files will be saved.

5. Choose which file format ajd options, hit Save.

6. Hit Run.

 

Batch processing of files:

 

1. Click File, Automate, then Batch.

2. Select the action you want between Set and Action options.

3. Specify the files to process.

4. Fill processing, saving, and file name options.
