I have tried in vain to uninstall a certain program from my computer using the in-built Windows tool in the control panel.

This program is taking up a good percentage of my hard disk and need to get rid of it ASAP.

Any ideas on how to go around this?

Yes friend it is very easy but little bit typical but don't worry i will write below some of the steps and you will follow those steps then hopefully you must go beyond that problem and feel an ease so let started. :

1. Firstly you can open a start bar and start running RUN command and write there "msconfig" then there is a window open in front of you and then in that window there is a tab names startup so press that tab and then un'mark that program if its shown there which you want to delete.

2. After completing part 1 you can now go to that drive where your that program installed and then delete that program by pressing SHIFT+DELETE key. but make sure about that the drive is accurate may be if that program is installed in more than one drive you can also delete those by pressing same keys.

3. Now the final step is that you can go to your control panel and then press the tab of add and remove programs and then search out that program which you wants to delete . After finding  that program you find a button named uninstall so press that key and your program will successfully be removed from you PC.

CHEERS.

You can uninstall a program by using the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature or by using Uninstall in Programs and Features.

You can then use CCleaner to check your system for any file/software/application that is not anymore being used by any other programs. This programs can find and delete these files as well registry entries which should be able to help since there would times where uninstall utilities would leave out program settings and data (especially games) even after uninstallation. You can download CCleaner here:

You can also use a software called RevoUninstaller.

This software can help you remove those hard to uninstall software.

You can download it from here:
