Hi Qamar,

There are specific types of memory cards used by each camera manufacturers.

Compact Flash MMCSD is the memory card used by high end cameras and is being replaced by SD cards (Most common now-a-days) by camera manufacturers. It mainly is much better as compared to Smart Media cards. The MMCSD is smaller in size than a standard Compact Flash but offers comparable space and speed.

Smart Media was the card mainly used by Fuji and Olympus and is not used anymore by the new cameras. It was an old memory card type and is dead now. They mostly ranged from 2 MB to 128 MB. Their limited capacity made them highly incapable of handling high resolution data.

Whereas Memory Stick Pro is exclusively used by Sony. It allows greater maximum storage capacity and faster file transfer limit. It also has a high speed variant by the name Memory Stick Pro-HG which is used in High Definition Video Cameras.

Hope this helps.
