I have a PC with the following specs:

CPU-Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz

GPU-Geforce 210 1GB

RAM-2GB DDR3

How can I configure my PC for gaming? Please suggest me some tweaks. Will you include screenshots with your answer?

What are the best CPU and GPU for gaming? How much RAM is enough for playing 3D games at ultra settings?

Hi John,

The configuration seems good enough but the only thing that you might want to upgrade Is the RAM to 3 GB DDR3 since CPU is clocking in at 2.4 GHz and you are running a Nvidia Gefore 210 1GB. However not many top rated games are supported by this since there would be a lag on the graphics and the performance of the game as you would experience yourself when playing the game.

As said above I would recommend you to upgrade the RAM Since most of the games eat up lot of RAM due to their graphics interface.

You can go for a Intel Core i5 – 3350 P 3.1GHz Quad core with MSI Gefore GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video card or if you are not comfortable with Intel you can always for the next best thing which is AMD @ AMD FX – 8320 3.5 GHz 8- core processor with motherboard of ASRock 970 Extreme3 ATX  AM3+ motherboard.

Ideally speaking you should go with a 4 GB RAM as basics, however you can start off with 3GB RAM.

You can tweak with increasing the RAM for your PC since the other configurations that you have mentioned seems good enough for me.
