To all Techyv Members,

I am not a sophisticated computer user but I want to recognize the configuration setting for css registry editor tool. I recognize the importance of this tool in every computer device nowadays. In a forum I had read that the file is divided into two sections, keys and values. But I really don’t exactly know what it stands for.

I am asking here now the detailed steps on how to exactly configure the settings for css registry editor tool. I had a concern on the correct file syntax. How to enter the correct value of every corresponding key? I am afraid that if I don’t use a registry editor my files will all be erased. What are the exact settings for this css registry editor tool?

I hope that a detailed steps or even a video on how to do this could help me about my concern.

In configuring the files in Registry editor make sure that you edit it correct. All sections are needed to be inside the square brackets [] and all the value of keys are assigned by using equal signs in between the key and the value.

The starting semicolon in keys are not acceptable because the Registry Editor will not accept anything that has semicolon. If you do not know and understand this, don't worry because this configuring this Registry setting can be trial and error.

Hi William,

To configure the CSS registry you need to install the Visual Web Developer Express 2010. After installing finds in the registry any key with css21.xml then save keys as .reg. Edit keys changing the name "css21.xml" to "css30.xml" and then change the name of "CSS 2.1" to "CSS 3.0" and save it. Then try to run .reg file and click YES to add the new keys to the registry. And you're done!
