How to clean USB history?

Hi to everyone,

How to clean usb history? I don’t want to show up all the recent activities or data saved in my usb flash drive, is there a way to remove those data that was recently added and was deleted? What is the proper and fastest way to clean usb history?

How to clean USB history?

 

 

Hi Jolie Angeliname,

 

 

In Windows, the USB history is stored in Registry. So, in order to delete the history, you need to delete in Registry.

 

Before doing this, take a backup of Windows Registry.

 

 

Now, press "Windows+R" and type "regedit"

 

Now go to the below paths in registry and delete all sub folders under them.

 

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlDeviceClasses{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b }

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumUSB

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumUSBSTOR

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlUsbFlags

 

 

Or you can use a free software "USB Oblivion", which will delete it automatically. The software is easy to use and you can simulate the whole process and can see which all files will get deleted. Also, you can take a backup of these files using this tool.
