How to change the Primary Domain Name Server (DNS)?

Hello,

I was trying to change my Primary DNS but this error message occurred:

It says “The name will remain contoso.com”. Can you give me some advice regarding this issue? Thanks!

Error:

Changing the Primary Domain DNSname of this computer to ""failed the name will remain "contoso.com".
The error was
Access is denied.

How to change the Primary Domain Name Server (DNS)?

Hi,

When your computer associates to an cyberspace website, it first associates to a Domain Name Service (DNS) host to interpret the website's URL into an IP address. Whenever your computer has a particular basic DNS set, it will ever look at that DNS host first for this version. Whenever you alter this host data, it will instantly begin looking at the fresh host. Click on the "Start" border, open the "control board" and then open the "Network associations" division. Right-click on your network connection and then click on the "attributes" choice. Choice "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then click the "attributes" border. Alter the DNS host IP address below "favored DNS host" to the fresh primary DNS host destination you want to apply and then click the "OK" button twice to employ the alters immediately.
