How can import inventory from a Text file or a CSV file?

I am working on a document and I want to import inventory from a text or CSV file. The software I am using does not have this facility. Is there anyone who has imported a text or CSV data into database? Anyone with an idea? I want to import my data without messing it up. Any suggestions? Kindly assist.

How can import inventory from a Text file or a CSV file?

You can try importing it first in a Microsoft Excel application first and then save it as an XLS file before importing it again into a database application like SQL Server or Microsoft Access. To do this, open an Excel file and then look and select the Import File option. Just follow the step by step wizard and when it comes to separator choose TAB for .txt format or Comma for .csv file format. You have to remember that this is the difference between the two.
