How can I use 2 sound cards?

Hello, I currently have 2 sound cards. One on board and one installed. Yesterday, I had no sound at all. I realized that it uses the one that is on board. I tried to disable it from bios and enable the other one. I want to use the one for recording and the other one for gaming. Is it possible to make them work simultaneously? I use Ubuntu 10.10. Hi

 

You want to use the 2 sound cards at a time. This is very simple just follow the below given steps and you will find how to connect to 2 sound cards at a time.

1. Connect your 1st card and then install its driver and make it sure it is running properly. 

2. Put the 2nd card in other slot of motherboard and then install the driver according to the authentic way. And then

3. You will see in your bucket that there are two cards drivers and software are showing now select each of the software and use according to your wish either put one on and one off and work with both sound cards.

It is possible to use and install two sound cards, but it is not possible to use them simultaneously. You can only choose one default speakerset on your Control Panel, and it will require you to reboot your computer. Installing two sound cards on one computer is not a good idea, especially if there is not enough audio output. People do this for gaming and for multimedia experiences, such as watching movies and listening to music at the same time.
