Hi expert,

I need your help as I can’t select the easy snmp trap logger. I know – it’s a network management software. But I don’t know well about its uses and benefits. What is the best in this regard? Please, tell me in detail about it how I can be benefited using it.

SNMP trap logger is a kind of software or device that captures the SNMP packages and writes the tracking details into the log files. The easy snmp trap logger is licensed under Cisco style BSD. It logs all the outgoing packages to a log file. The benefit is that you can use it to detect potential virus, or unauthorized communications, or use it to do calculations or statistics. Generally it's not for personal use. It's for study or business/industrial purpose.

SNMP (simple network management protocol) manages device on IP networks. It's mostly used in network management system to monitor network alarms. It has widely used in local area networks. It allows monitoring many network devices like printer, servers, workstation, routers and more. Standardize protocol, universal acceptance, extendibility, probability, lightweight etc. are the benefits of SNMP. In short, we can say it’s a primary protocol which used to transfer information between two or more networks. You can get this from easy freeware. Hope this will help.
