How can flag the email message in Outlook

Hi,

I am a newbie to this forum and seeking for help.

I am the Senior IT here and I am seeking for any MS Outlook add-on or plug-in which can do the subsequent tasks:

(I have previously browsed at the rules on both MS Outlook 2007 & MS Outlook 2010 but to no avail)

  • As email message reaches to one of my mailboxes, I would want the email message to be flagged, and a reminder after 48 hours be sent. If 48 hours had passed after receiving the email to the mailbox, I would want it to change color. Also, we'd like it for this 48 period to skip the weekend,

For example:

When the message arrives on a Tuesday at 10 AM, it shall voluntarily place a flag reminder & change color on Thursday at 10 AM.

However, if the email is received on a Friday at 10 AM, it shall hurl the reminder and change color on Tuesday that same week at 10 AM. The weekend should not be counted.

I know this appears to be so much but any suggestion and help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Is this somewhat possible?

How can flag the email message in Outlook

You can manually flag your emails on Outlook. Let's say you want to flag an email for a follow-up while you are busy with other projects. See the example message below:

Click on that flag and Outlook will flag it as an action of Follow Up that will be due on the same day. But if you right-click on that flag, you will have more options to edit it according to your deadline.

If you can see. The color of the flag changes according to the deadline. The closer, the redder. You can click on the Add Reminder so Outlook will pop-up a reminder on the specified date and time that you choose.

You can also flag a message to remind your recipients to respond to your message. When you click on the New Message to create one, you will see the Follow Up option under the Message tab.

Click on the drop down to set a reminder for your recipient that will prompt to them to respond to your mail.

If you need to flag any of your messages, click the Actions tab and then select Follow Up and click which flag you want for a specific message.  Just click Add Reminder to remind you on the time and date you wish.
