How to burn large movie on two disc?

Hi guys!

I have a 720p movie with a file size of 4.7 GB, and I don’t want to lose the quality. To burn it, causes 8.0 GB. My problem is my player, it doesn’t play dual layer DVDs very well and I would prefer to burn the movie on 2 different in the disk. Is it possible to do?

Thank you.

Hello,

Of course it's possible. You can use any video editing application for that, for example Windows Movie Maker. If you use Windows you already have it installed. So the open movie maker, pause your video in place where you want to split it (in the middle of the movie), then go to the clip and then click on Split option.

Your video is split now, the only thing to do is to save your work. Now you have two video files containing your movie which you can now burn to two DVD's'.

video is splitted now

Hello Owen,

My solution is that you try splitting the movie into two using a freeware called video cutter & splitter. You won’t lose the quality & now you can burn the movie in two separate disks. Video cutter & splitter supports the following formats AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, QT, and MOV. Hope that your movie is supported.

Just Google “Video cutter & splitter” and you will get sites offering free download.
