Recently XP PRO SP3 was crashed during installation. I used recovery console CD with my password. But it was inaccessible and told me to burn "chkdsk ISO image". I know that chkdsk is a command prompt but don't understand about the burning ISO image. How to burn chkdsk ISO image? Please let me know anyone.

Hello Kelly Abbrahamson,

As you got the problem of windows crash and it is a major problem now are days so I will ask you to recover your system by restoring it to a previous state. For this you need to run in Safe mode and then you can perform a system recover to set a recovery point.

Make sure that your computer is virus free before performing this task and the second thing you asked is how to burn chkdsk ISO image if you are using windows 7 and you have a built-in disk burner then you can perform this task by simply performing this command isoburn.exe "{drive letter}:{path to image file}".

Hello Kelly,

What you have mentioned here looks more like a problem with your system crash and to resolve this common problem first you need to restore your system. First make sure your system is not infected by any virus and then run your system in safe mode and perform system recovery. Regarding your question on burning chkdsk ISO image, it is related to the operating system you are using. If you are using Windows 7 then you already have a built in burning program, but for previous versions of windows, you need to use burning software.

I hope this helps.
