I want to set permissions on my hard disk partitions,
I want to know how to activate NTFS permissions in Windows XP.
Experts please kindly help me

Be sure the drive is NTFS.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options.
Click the View tab, scroll to the bottom and uncheck Use Simple File Sharing.
Click OK.
You should be able to grant NTFS permissions on files/folders now.Â
If not, try restarting and check again.Â
