I can’t believe with this device Samsung Galaxy S III would be release this mid-June and it was so capable in all aspects like iPhone does.

Analysts said the new device represented a formidable challenge to rivals, given a combination of the Galaxy brand, sales support from operators and heavy marketing. What would be the main processor of Samsung Galaxy S III that makes it high tech?

Samsung Galaxy SIII is powered by 1.5 Ghz. Quad core processor Samsung Exynos CPU. According to some speed test, it has an average speed of 1.80 Ghz. which seems to be the fastest among existing smart phones. It is the so called Ferrari of the smart phones because of its blazing speed. Meaning to say, it can perform multiple task at a time with no hassle. You can browse high graphic content without the worry of processor crashing.

Samsung has also implemented dynamic voltage and frequency scaling for each core, this means that the processor will only consume the amount of power it needs under given workload so consuming 20% less power. The new processor was equipped with full HD fps video hardware codec engine which enables 1080p video record and playback. It is anticipated to be the first phone to have ice cream sandwich feature.

Samsung Galaxy S-III was announced in May 2012 and is now released in the market. Exynos 4212 Quad is System on a Chip (SoC) of the S-III which is Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 main processor and has Mali-400MP as its graphics accelerator for richer, crispier display experience. It is the flagship phone of Samsung to date, and a high-end smartphone competing with iPhones, HTC’s, and Windows Phones.

It is believed to perform better with any existing smartphones out there for its Samsung Exynos chipset that is compared to other SoC’s like NVidia Tegra 3 which is behind when it comes to CPU Horsepower, fabrication size which is the smaller the better for temperature issues. Mali-400 produces 10.8 GFLOPS at 300Mhz for a better display compared to 7.2 GFLOPS of Tegra 3 at 300MHz. Though Tegra 3 has this fifth core which is power efficient functioning-core, the size of Exynos 4212 is 32nm compare to 40nm of Tegra 3.

These are the reason for its (S-III) cost and considered to be the best smartphone to date, for some, of course. =)

Hope I helped somehow.
