I think I need help with this GameGuard error code because it appears very frequently now. My computer is installed with bunch of games and I’m not sure which of my games triggers this error because it appears in random but very frequently when I play games one after the other.
Sometimes it appears in one game after closing the previous game but sometimes it is thrown with the other game.
With GameGuard, error code 115 means there are multiple executions of the game like when the game is already running and you started a new instance of the game by double-clicking on the game icon again. It also indicates that GameGuard is already running and cannot be executed a second time or you cannot start a second instance.
GameGuard is like a protection for games to prevent players from cheating that’s why it launches together with the game and works in the background. When the game exits or when you close it, GameGuard should also terminate and unload from the memory automatically.
But sometimes when you exit a game that uses GameGuard, this protection does not unload from the memory after exiting the game and continuously runs in the background. When this happens and you start another game that also uses GameGuard, it will detect that GameGuard is already running and this is when error code “115” is thrown. This problem is actually not severe.
Simply restart the computer and run the game again. This should fix the problem. If you don’t want to restart the computer, try to log off and log in back. This should remove GameGuard from the memory.
